In these roles, you’ll be making sure that everyone has lots of fun and some great memories, whether they’re a kid or an adult. What kind of activities might you be getting involved in? The list is endless – dance classes, football, table tennis, pool games, cricket, quizzes, giant Jenga, table tennis, arts and crafts – it really is hugely varied.
Then there are the evening events. Perhaps a Prince and Princesses mini disco for the kids. Or, for the adults, there are stage and game shows. As an Entertainer, you’ll provide the on-stage talent in the evening, as well as being the life and soul during the day. We’ll provide the choreography and training for you to star in productions featuring everything from 70s classics to Broadway tunes.
Our Kids Reps work with three age groups 3-4 , 5-7 and 8-11 years. You’ll need to have relevant experience in appropriate childcare, sports and activities, and by the time you join us abroad, you’ll need a relevant First Aid Certificate, valid at least until the 31st October 2014.
“I’ve been working in the Kids Club in Crete this season and I absolutely love it. I used to work in a nursery – but this job is perfect because I can combine my love of travel with working with children, which I love.
So far, my favourite placement was working in Lapland over Christmas. It was truly magical – with reindeer, lots of elves and of course Santa. But the most magical thing was seeing the children’s faces – they were so excited.
I wanted to work with Thomas Cook, because it was a brand I knew and trusted. They’re a great company to work for. The training’s really good – especially around the sports activities and games. It gives you plenty of ideas. Thomas Cook treat you really well when you’re abroad, too. I get my accommodation paid for and they pay for all flights, plus your medical insurance. This means that all of my money is my own to spend. I find I come away at the end of the season having saved money.”
