As one of our Reps, you’ll have the chance to travel the world, make lasting friendships and create memories that will stay with you a lifetime. Of course, you’ll be helping our customers make amazing holiday memories, too, so the job is satisfying as well as hugely enjoyable. Never forget, though, that there’s lots of hard work involved, too.
At Thomas Cook, we have resorts in a huge number of countries – which means more variety for you. Our customers are just as varied as the destinations we travel to, but you’ll be able to build a rapport with everyone, whether it’s a family, a couple or a group of friends. It’s a long day as a Rep. You might be meeting guests from their flight, running welcome meetings, sorting out excursions, acting as a guide on a coach tour, solving glitches or giving advice on the best places to eat, drink, swim, dance, sunbathe or sightsee.
You’ll make sure everyone feels welcome from the moment they arrive, ensuring they’ve got all the information they need to make the very most of their precious time away right from the start. We’ll give you plenty of training, which will include a week’s induction at your resort, where you’ll try out excursions and activities so you know what to recommend.
You can work all year round at Thomas Cook, moving from the beach to our winter sun resorts. To join us, you’ll need to be a real people person who can put others at their ease. You’ll also be organised, hard-working, cheerful and calm no matter how busy it gets. In return, we’ll take very good care of you, with good accommodation, full insurance and all flights paid for.

The training’s fantastic. The in-resort induction was amazing. Everyone’s nervous at first, but you’re all in it together so it’s a really good way to get to know everyone. I’ve already done my ‘STEP Up’ training to become a Head Rep. We had to do a team building exercise and I arranged a charity sports day, complete with bouncy castle (courtesy of a local supplier).
Right now, I’m loving being a Rep, and I want to do that for a few more years. But longer term, I’d like to work in Head Office – and then I’d love to work in Learning and Development or recruitment. Here, if you show you’re willing to work and develop, you get all the support you need.”
