Apprentice Sales Consultant - Evesham

You’re interested in travel but don’t just want to study travel, you want to live and breathe it, so how would you like to make someone’s holiday dreams come true?  In this role, that’s exactly what you’ll be doing for our customers!  We’ll ask you to put yourself in your customer’s flip flops, to truly understand what they’re looking for from their perfect holiday. 


We offer a huge range of holidays in destinations all over the world; one day you could be helping a family plan their dream trip to one of our Sentido Hotels in the Mediterranean and the next, it could be a two week safari in the wilds of South Africa for a couple.  We can also help our customers with all the extras like holiday money, travel insurance and car hire, so there’ll be lots to keep you busy!


To make sure we’re here when our customers need us, our stores are open in the evening and over the weekend, so you’ll need to be flexible with your working hours. You’ll be working as part of an ambitious team, continuing your personal development with a nationally recognised qualification and earning a salary.

Role Summary:

  • A 24 month apprenticeship contract with the opportunity of a permanent position (dependent upon qualification achievement)
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Training salary (increasing in the second year) + on target earnings, company benefits and holiday discounts
  • Ongoing training to improve your Maths and English skills


Role Requirements;

  • You’ll be least 16 years old, or due to turn 16 before the 31st August this year
  • You’ll be committed to successfully completing the level 3 apprenticeship within two years, which includes actively participating in training workshops and completing work towards your qualification in the agreed timescales.
  • You’ll have the right to live and work in the UK and to have lived in the UK (or a country within the EEA) for at least the last three years
  • You won’t have started or completed any other travel apprenticeship before
  • You’ll have achieved or be predicted to achieve GCSE grade D or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths – we’ll need to see evidence of this upon offer of an apprenticeship.

Our Recruitment Process;

We ask that all applications are made online, where you’ll submit your CV and answer some initial screening questions. You’ll then be taken through to our online assessments, which you’ll need to complete within 3 days.


You’ll be contacted by one of our Store Managers to arrange interviews in-store, where they’ll be able to bring this role to life and give you much more information on life at Thomas Cook.


Your Induction with Thomas Cook

Your career development is really important to us, so we’ll invest in a comprehensive seven week induction plan for you from the day you start in your new role to make sure you have all the knowledge you’ll need to work as a travel expert.  In week two of your induction, you’ll spend two days at our Peterborough Head Office (overnight accommodation will be booked for you if needed) where you’ll meet other new retail colleagues and complete your training together.
