Do you want to work in a company that is the market leader in holiday travel and at the forefront of its IT development? Within Thomas Cook Group we work agile and with continuous deliveries. Our customer meetings and travel bookings take place via our e-commerce platform and in all our digital channels. Now you have the chance to join our Dynamic packaging team as an application architect. You will join a well functional team that is responsible for searching and booking trips through own and external APIs both backend and frontend at Thomas Cook northern Europe. The team contains of developers, lead developer, Business analyst and technical tester.

 

About employment

As an application architect at Thomas Cook you are responsible for identifying business technical requirements and designing systems based on the received requirements. Your social qualities are important in collaborating with other teams and as a mentor to support others in all aspects of the agile development process. You have a solid background in the development and experience of service-based architecture (SOA, event driven architecture) especially with technologies and frameworks such as C #, ASP.NET MVC, Node, React, SQL Server, Elastic Search, RabbitMQ and Azure. We work with continuous delivery and Azure first focus. Our agile ways of working with self-contained teams demands that you are independent and have social skills and takes initiatives.

 

Who are we looking for? 

A team-player who wants to work as an application architect in a team with focus on Thomas Cook’s dynamic packaging systems. You are analytical and has a broad technical knowledge in both newly developed systems and legacy systems. You like to mentor others in their technical development and implement new designs and techniques in our organization.

 

Our IT platform
We are developing our services in NodeJS and C#/.NET. We use ElasticSearch, Mongo DB, SQL, Reddis, RabbitMQ and React, IIS, git, VSTS, Jenkins, Octopus. We have come a long way in our quest to reach continuous Delivery and upgrades to our systems take place continuously with several deliveries per week.
