We’re working to develop ever more up-to-date, responsive and personalised content for our customers. From increasing rich content, such as our 360-degree room tours, to gathering feedback from customers and localised knowledge from our Reps, we’re coming up with creative ways to give our customers the information they really want.

You can work beyond the normal remit of a content role – getting involved in everything from SEO to Agile Project Management and app development. This is an ideas-driven team, not a process driven one. You’ll also have the opportunity to work internationally – and to travel overseas – rolling out ideas you’ve helped develop globally. Thomas Cook has over 100,000 bookable hotels across the world, so these roles offer a really big challenge.

About you

We want to think creatively and lead the market. So you need to be someone who thrives on analysing problems and coming up with innovative solutions. You won’t need to have worked in the travel sector, but you will need to have e-Commerce experience and be a strong Project Manager.

It’s also a time of very rapid change – so you need to have lots of initiative, get up to speed quickly and not be frightened by a fast-paced environment.

Innovative thinking

We’ve already created a customer ‘ask and answer’ function on our accommodation page. We triage questions to a subject matter expert, and then publish answers online, building up a list of relevant information.

Right now, we’re working on content re-engineering for mobile and tablet, and improving tagging for different audience types. We’re also trying to plug the information gap that exists between our customers booking a holiday and arriving in resort, by developing Virtual Travel Guides and Virtual Reps.
