Join us in one of our overseas contact centres, and you’ll be based in either Mallorca, Crete or Turkey. It will be your job to deal with questions and queries from holidaymakers across the globe. The centres are busy, bustling continental-wide hubs, so things move at a fast pace. But no matter how busy it gets, your friendly approach and useful advice will help make sure our customers have a brilliant holiday. Our customers will contact you in all sorts of different ways, from phones and email to messaging and video chat. The variety of the queries is huge too. You might be helping people check their departure time flights or giving interesting information about their resort – from day trips they might enjoy, to great restaurants and bars they can visit. You’ll also help anyone who has a problem whilst they’re away. For this role, you’ll need great people skills, as you’ll be talking to our customers all day. The fact that you’re fluent in English and, ideally, a second European language will be really useful here. As will your understanding of the tourist industry, which will give you a real empathy with our holidaymakers. You’ll also need to be up to speed with new technology like video chat and messaging, as well as knowing your way round a computer so you can get all of your admin done quickly. Last but not least, you’ll need to have lots of initiative and real team spirit. This is a great place to begin your career in the travel industry, and there will be all sorts of opportunities to develop overseas, in our retail branches, or at our Head Office.
